One of the leaders' ratings is for administration. What does that influence in the game?

In theory, it is the more efficient expendature of supplies. LCUs use supplies to un-disable squads, draw replacements, send supply to other bases, lots of stuff.

A leader with a higher admin rating, theoretically will do these tasks using fewer supplies.

The ability to bring in supply to the hex were the HQ or unit is located. In the case of a HQ, I would hope that a high administration number would help send supply out to forward units under the HQ's command.

One very important task related to the admin skill is the ship repair bonus.
The higher the admin skill the faster - relatively speaking [;)] - the ship repairs.

I always put the leader with the highest admin rating where I repair my ships, possibly in a Fleet HQ.

That is very interesting, did not realise administration would help in ship repairs. However I think that would only apply to a Fleet HQ but I could be wrong.

You are right: fleet HQ.
But I remember from some forum discussion a few months ago that "one of those who all know and see" [:)] said that it also applied to the Command HQs (West Coast, SouthEast Asia, ...).
More in specific there was the issue of finding the name of the right leader for West Coast HQ, bacuse the best for repairs was (somethink like) Scott/Short/Snob/..., but there were two with the same surname and (when the admin skill was not visible) one was the best (70+) the other real poor, so they said which one to use.

Since then I've been playing under the assumption that Fleet HQs and Command HQs benefit from high admin in repairing ships.
Once I started to play accordingly I started feeling the difference, but maybe it was just my mind playing games with me [sm=crazy.gif]

Wiki: Leader - Admin

Important is the part under clarification that there is no hint in the source code that Admin might affect repairs!

Are you telling me that I've been an idiot so far? [sm=dizzy.gif]

I'm so very sad [:(]

Anyway, thanks for the input.
