Here's a WW1 question for you all. Why didn't the Turks sent troops to the western front after the allies pulled out of Gallipoli ???? Anyone know?

well

1. They had no land taking ambitions on the western front
2. They were engaged in killing the Armenian poulation
3. They wanted to concentrate against attacking Russia and grab land there (Causacus area etc)
4. Although they won at Gallipoli it was a costly victory, most of the trained turkish divisions were worn down by the trench fighting, what troops they had left were unreliable.

they also had to garrison large areas of the Middle East
fight off the Allies in Mesapotamia
later they had to defend Palestine and the Levant from the British (and Imperial and Dominion) forces
along with Arab unrest

they had their hands full

Dont forget the little prominade through Gaza that the Turks were involved in around this time too.

I would say the biggest reason is as above, lack of troops to do everything they wanted to do. Secondly would be a lack of equipment and firepower for the western front.

Turkish troops equiped the way they were equiped would have been eaten alive on the Western Front.

Actually most of the troops which fought in Dardanelles were sent to Iraq to stop British offensive on Baghdad. Those troops encircled Brits (Indians?) at Kut-Al-Amara and captured them after 6 months siege.
