Rickenbacker -> Sound bug with transport vehicles? (7/3/2000 5:25:00 PM)

I was wondering if I'm the only one seeing this... When I move my transport units (trucks, jeeps etc.) they occasionally 'hang' and the sound repeats 3-4 times, then they move as normal. This doesn't happen every time I move one of those, and it only seems to be wheeled vehicles (i.e. it doesn't happen with halftracks). A similar problem is when a shell bounces off a tank, the shot sound plays twice, then the bounce sound. My setup is as follows: Pentium II 233 64 MB RAM S3 AGP graphics card + Voodoo2 PCI Soundblaster AWE64 (Gold Edition) 4 MB Windows 98 ------------------ Rickenbacker ------------ rickenbacker@innocent.com

I've not seen this problem. However, my system is newer than yours so that might be why I haven't seen it. P.S. I didn't know they still made PII-233s.

I have the problem. It seems that the movement sounds are duplicated when enemies see the moving unit. After every hex (which any enemy unit sees) the sound is repeated. I had no problems with bouncing sounds. I have PII 350 so it can't be because of the hardware (oh, well it can be but it's unlikely) ------------------ Ilja Varha, maker of the SPIII: Moderna

You mean Pz-II-233 ??? Yeah, occasionaly. But that 233 extension has to be some custom modification
