Windfire -> Rise of Country xxxxx (10/15/2005 5:08:51 AM)

It is Sept 1792 (~ turn 3) in a 23 year game. I am playing Russia and France formed a protectorate with Poland and has the second highest glory. Europe is concerned with the rise of France. Poor SOB, I wouldn't trade places with him being at war with Prussia, Austria and Russia in 1792. It seems unusual to have the routine to kick in this early.

France got Poland in 1792! Unless everyone stops him RIGHT NOW he will be unbeatable. [I played a few games with this exact circumstance - as France - and they were the easiest wins I have ever had in COG: hopefully the alarm going off a bit earlier will prevent a French walkover victory.]

One thing I hate in the game is the fickelness of the minors. You give em' cash, send diplomats to whisper sweet nothings in their ears, and they still go to some other country that can't get an army to their capital in a few months.

I don't mind that it's been changed so that subsidies cause less change in attitude. But it really rubs me raw when neighboring Saxony goes Spanish yellow.

Hmmm
looks like my posts from last night didn't show up ???

oh well

I agreed, France and Poland in 1792 is going to be nasty, Prussia and Aus will be hammered, a human Russia may hold

the only counter is to get Bavaria on your side, but while they are nice, they will not match the Poles

Grand

I have been reporting this, most seem to see it as as working right, other influnces are kicking in, but I think it is a bug
you have relations of 3000, Prussia has a 95, and the rest have -1000 to -4000, and then you get the pop up saying Turkey has become the protectorate of so and so

no dilpos or armies in the area, to influnces the events
