why there are 4 columns of icons? Is there any difference (in use) between each column?

Hi mate you will find in most of the panels 4 columns of differant colours each color represent differant levels of numbers or strength
eg number of particular type of ship in port or number of particular type aircraft at a base
or how many troops are in a hex
I dont think the colors are explained in the manual but I could be wrong there

Monter_Trismegistos -> RE: Blue Companion (2/26/2006 8:09:43 AM)

So colors of single airgroup does not depend from the group itself, but only from overall quantity of aircraft?

I know the small map icons are graduated in colour for size dependence but I have never noticed it for buttons on the hex display.

P.s. Thanks for the art work, it's looking good.

MarcA -> RE: Blue Companion (2/28/2006 10:26:45 PM)

Excellent. My hex displays are starting to look good.

I don't recognise the last three icons does anybody know what they might be. Come to think of it cavalry units use the standard ifnatry symbol rather than the normal cavalry one, which is a shame.

ramc62 -> US Ship sides (2/28/2006 10:46:21 PM)

I have seen some very impresive Japanese ship sides from Freman come out recently (carriers, cruisers, and destroyers). I havent seen any US ships (except for some US CV and BB) of the same quality. could someone make some, or point me in the right direction where I could find some.

m10bob -> RE: US Ship sides (3/1/2006 4:02:42 AM)

Has anyone done the planeside for the Navy version of the B 24, which only had the single rudder??
If not, It should be done as the PB4Y did not have the twin rudder and there is already a slot for the PB4Y.
BTW, some were painted all dark blue, like the PBY's....
This plane was called the "Privateer"....Thank you............
(I use CHS).

Nah..It's the perspective of the shot..If it were really that low, you would see a shadow of the plane and a helluva lot of propwash............[:D]

GaryChildress -> RE: KI-48 (3/6/2006 7:25:34 AM)

Has CHS or anyone tried modeling the Ki-64 in a mod? It's not in CHS 1.04. At 429 mph it perhaps would have been some competion for the F4U.

==================================

The Ki-64 actually had both engines in a line, straddling the cockpit and driving a single contra-rotating prop system with twin three-bladed props. The combined engine was known as the "Ha-201", and generated 1,755 kW (2,350 HP) take-off power. It featured an unusual steam cooling system with radiators in the wing and flap surfaces. The front engine used the right wing for cooling, while the rear engine used the left wing. The Ki-64 had a vague configurational resemblance to the Hien, though it was larger.

KAWASAKI KI-64 (ESTIMATED SPECIFICATIONS):

One prototype was finished in December 1943, but the rear engine caught fire on the fifth test flight. The aircraft made an emergency landing and survived. However, it was never repaired and the project was abandoned in the middle of 1944.

Marineatsea -> RE: Typhoon? (3/7/2006 3:35:26 AM)

Thank you! Would it be possible to ask for sides tops and alpha for the Bearcat and Skyraider. I downloaded a previous Skyraider but the top view is small, is there something I can do or should I leave it in your hands?

GaryChildress -> Ki-64 Rob (3/7/2006 7:08:00 AM)

I have a request for CobraAus. Would you be able (and willing) to do a 2D side profile on one of Subchaser's standard backgrounds of a Ki-64 Rob with the line drawing below and color scheme similar to image below it. Unfortunately these are the best drawings I can find of it. [:(] If anyone has better ones I would greatly appreciate it if they could post behind this one.

Thanks either way, [:)]

1st class!!! [&o] Now you're anticipating requests before we make them! [:D] Thanks CobraAus! [:)]

Although, I apologize for nit picking but would you be able to blow the drawing on the blue background up a little so the plane fills the whole background? That'll blend it in with the rest of Subchaser's planes.

Thanks again! [&o]

Gary
