I'm getting bored with the early scenarios. I can understand why they're popular - the Japanese actually have a chance to win. But part of the fun of wargaming is learning history, and I'd like to learn more about late war period (not to mention the chance for both sides to use their best aircraft). Anyone up for a game?

The thing about these ones is that at least as the Japanese you have very little stockples of you name it supplies/fuel/oil/resources any where. Then all of your ships are no where near any oil or resources. So it takes a month just to get the first of oil or resources to where you want it. Same with fuel and supply also. I wish you could place units or something like that before the first turn, oh well that you can't. I would play as the Allies and would keep all subs away from the ERA for a while so the Japanese can move some oil and what not, also there should be a house rule on attack, should give your oppents a few turns to get things into place, except for maybe China and Burma.

I like the idea of playing the latewar period and not worrying about losing. I'm used to being kicked about like a rag doll! [:o]

I don't think they put much work into some of the later ones, to be honest to play say the 8/42 and 43 ones you need houses rules.
