I'm playing the Japanese in the 1943 campaign game (your condolences are appreciated). I haven't played the Japanese in WITP before, and I don't really feel like fiddling with the production, even if it gives me less than optimum replacements. But I assume I can't leave production on autopilot, so what are the minimum steps I need to take to have a credible (again, it doesn't have to be optimum) Japanese economy? Change a few aircraft types and just keep shipping raw materials to the homeland?

You're prolly a trailblazer, dt, as far as production goes. I never even looked at this scen, and I don't recall anyone ever mentioning it.

Are you playing against a human? I think it'd be cool to play Japan's final fight to the end. Fight to the last man Alamo style fun.

There should be a scenario in which the japs have assumed to have made major victories in the South Pacific. CV's still intact with a good supply of experience pilots. Perhaps PM is in japans hands. I think this hypothetical scenario would be great to play, because at the moment the standard late scenarios, japs have already lost most of their CV's and their pilots have very low experience, not much of a fair fight.
