Hi Trajanus, thats great news! [:)] Lets discuss the setup. I put together my suggestions here, feel free to comment and discuss if this dosnt suit you well. Realism options: Fog of War, Advance Weather Effects, Allied Damage Control, Player defined Upgrades and December 7th Surprise set to ON, everything else OFF. Reinforcement set to fixed for both sides. Game options: Combat Reports, TF Move Radius, Plane Move Radius and Accept Air an Ground Replacements set to ON, others OFF and turn cycle set to 1. I'm not sure if we need to be in sync here, except for the turn cycle of course... [8D] Houserulse: NOTE: Those are stolen from other threads on this forum and what I think will be helpful after reading some of the AAR here. - Japanesse units under command China HQ may move only in China, Indochina, Tibet and Mongolia, unless political points are spent to change base HQ. Mongolian cavalry units may enter additionally to Manchukuo (but not Korea or Russia). - Japanesse units under command Kwantung HQ may move only in Manchukuo, Korea, Russia and Mongolia, unless political points are spent to change base HQ. - British CV, CVL, CVE or BB can’t occupy this same hex with USA CV, CVL, CVE or BB. Except of situation that USA has 2 or less CVs (operational in Pacific – max damage 20). - British land units (Southeast Asia Command - SAC) don’t occupy the same hex with USA units, except when US units are subordinate to SAC. - Chinesse land units must change HQ to Southeast Asia if they want move to Burma. - No aircraft training on empty bases. - Aircraft night attacks are limited to city attack and naval attack. - Dutch land and air units can’t become evacuated outside bases in Dutch Indies. - No allied navy commando attack (including submarine transport) or paradrop attack on empty Siam factories in December 1941. There are two more issues were I'd like to see a houserule. a) How do we handle respawning chinese LCU's in India. From what I read this happens when all chinese respawning locations are occupied by the japanese troops. Obviously this rule is nonsense so we should discuss this issue. (I'm already dreaming of a victory in China as you may notice... [;)]). b) Maximum amount of aircrafts on an airfield. I noticed that serveral players limit this not only by aviation support which can be easily provided but also by a limit like: "max. AC on an AF" = "Size of AF" x 40 (or 50). I'm not sure if this rule is neccessary with CHS, but I want to avoid huge bombing raids from a level 4 AF with incredible amounts of bombers while in reality they would have been piled up in order to base them all there. With the new patch big ASW forces shouldnt be a problem anymore and CHS should take care about extremly low altitudes of attacking aircraft with better AA effect. So basically I think this is all that comes to my mind right now. I'm willing to negotiate all from the above as long the aim is to keep the game balanced and somewhat historically reasonable. Regarding AAR I'm quite willing to provide one here in the forum but would like to see this as off-limits for my opponent as I would like to present actual data and maybe discuss them if people are interested. Of course its ok if you might want to do the same for your side. So what do you say? PS: I'm also interested in comments and suggestions from the more seasoned players regarding this setup.
