I've had this game for a few days now and am starting to get the hang of it. The one sticking point I've been having is that my troops will not rally out of disordered status.

I put them well back out of sight, I "fortify" them and stack them with a leader, and...after a day and a half; nothing.

I would think that if they spend the entire night doing nothing, with a leader and with no enemies ever even coming close there should be a pretty good chance of regaining order.

Am I not doing something?

Thanks,

Erik

I also had this problem until I noticed in the manual that it said you have to manually order them to move into formation.

What exactly does that mean? Do you select a formation and they come out of Disordered status, and if so, how do you tell when it is possible to do it?

Thanks,

Erik

Look at the percentages under the other formations; Column is usually the easiest. The unit if successful will change formation from Disordered to Column.

If percentage = 0% don't try it; better to just hit spacebar and pass the turn on that unit so as to allow it to rest and recover a few morale points for an attempt next turn.
