for a slow game with 2 day turns, otherwise things will go nowhere. Probably 2-3 turns a week with potentially more on weekends. Slower in summer.

I've played for about a year and consider myself an advanced newbie. I'd prefer a more historical-ish player, but all house rules are negotiable.
