Wheee... this is fun... the microphone on the computerized dictation system gone down (at least) twice this a.m. - they just now got done fixing it - and the scanner is broken...

- good thing they gave me a new computer...

Feb 13th. I will be out of work for 2-4 weeks then on light duty for another 2-4 weeks.

Now the power went out (again) - and screwed up the scanner (again)....

This is beginning to get really annoying...

i am reconsidering the shotgun recommendation - to be used on the computer system...

Good News... Bad News...

After our power outage (bad news), i remembered the Admin Asst. had taken down contact information for the site electrician after he was told of the recurring power failures... (good news)

Unfortunately, she was at the dentist (bad news)...

Fortunately, i saw the electrician on site and showed him the problem (good news)...

Unfortunately, he declined to work on it (bad news)...

Because he said the electrical panel "is about to be replaced with all new equipment"... (good news)...

i told my co-worker this, and she started laughing... she had been told the same story by another Admin Asst - and this assistant left about 2 years ago... (bad news)...

Upshot - after being told of repeated power failures, the electrician suggested i get an Uninteruptible Power Supply...
