That's weird, I went back and looked at the first post in this thread THE THREAD ... and it seems to be there ... and the current "tail end" seems to be there .. I wonder what part is missing!? Any idea?

Also, since it hasn't come back - I'm guess our choice will be to bring all of it back as of the last backup (whenever that was) and lose whatever has been posted since (probably at least today if not some other days) or keep it like it is. So we might have to make that choice.

no not usually. Its even more rare for posts to be removed but the trolling has been heavy of late so one is seeing alot more of it.

i am pretty sure the last page were posting on was 1889 (i have been posting a history of the year of the page we were on, and i had just posted year 1889, )... so everything between 1310 and 1889 vanished.

His posts are still there - go back a few pages and you can see them (and his "current" post count... but if you sort users by post count, he and all other banned users are excluded.

Actually, not so much on the Thread, although we got some echoes of it... apparently T. got into it on the General Forum, and drew a 2-week suspension. Other people also got suspended, i think. i haven't gone there to check... Lots of Steakhouse Folk suddenly started showing up here as well.

I think it's one week...

T gets into it often enough

...but, this suspension seems to be more a result of "popular demand" then actual "merits".

Damn, here I spend a horribly busy 9 hours at work without time to log on at all. While my back was turned, I went from17th to 25th on the all time spa, uh, poster's list.

Yep - i searched out the particular exchange - it is ONE week... i thought they said 2 weeks last night here on the Thread... hard to check now...

BTW guys, there is a possibility that the THREAD can be (partially) restored through a backup... we would lose everything SINCE the backup, but i guess if the backup has been within a few days it would be worth doing.
