LOL. We also found these on that job at the SAC base at Grand Forks. We also found some industrial strength repellent. Good new is the label said it was safe for human skin, but when we spilled the bottle on some of our safety equipment, it melted the equipment. . Still, it kept the mosquitos away.

Probably dissolved them...

This one reminds me of a story of a friend of mine that was a nuclear weapons technician in the Air Force back in the late 60's in Germany. One day, after they finished painting something, they decided to have some fun with the guards on the post, so they all went running down past the guard post (flipping their security passes into the booth as they ran by at top speed). The guards (who knew that they were Nuclear Weapons techs) didn't know what to do (but did stay at their posts, looking very worried....)

Well if they were Nukes what is the point in running?? how far can you run away when that thing blows

Well, in this case, probably far enough as my friend worked on tactical stuff (backpack nukes, probably in the 2 KT range.) In a few minutes, you could probably get far enough away to avoid serious damage...

If it were one of the big boys, though...

Thread. Thank you for your deliverance.

Brother Speedy is paying a final tithe. At least for now.

I don't plan on posting in the WiTP forum a lot in the near future. I'm not going in to details but I don't like how the WiTP forum is at present. Recent events (my topic etc) have led to a decrased desire to post here when not even civility and decency can be shown by some.

To all of you nice guys out there (Nik, T, Faber, rtrapasso, Niceguy, Mynok and the others i've missed off) thanks for everything.

All of my games will continue so no worries there

Hopefully i'll feel like returning in due course when the forum's a nicer place to be.

All the best,

Steven

We'll see guys.

I'm majorly disgruntled at the mo and don't see the point of posting here.

Well, i can definitely see your point as for the rest of the forum (unfortunately)! But i think we've managed to keep the "bad vibes" out of here (mostly).

Stay and be healed!

BTW - this goes for you too, Terminus (if you happen to read this).

Well, I don't know if I am one of the people Speedy is unhappy with. I've tried to not go overboard with my complaints if for no other reason than it raises my blood pressure for no good reason. But at any rate its not just this forum that is going thru a tough period. I've noticed things at several other forums I frequent, mostly just people not posting as much. I don't know what's causing it, but there has been a definite widespread change for some reason.

I doubt it. The problem children wouldn't dare show their faces in here. They don't have the required sense of humor nor the ability to laugh at themselves. The Thread would crush them like the dung balls that they are.

Here is another reason that troops die from mosquito bites in the malarial zones...

Ah, one of the smaller examples of the Alaska state bird.

This is also the state bird of New Jersey. Of course after ours drink you blood they go after your family.

I beg to differ! I also think it is the lack of tasteful smut we were enjoying in the earlier thread incarnation that may be at the root of all this. And remember, Speedy was caught up in that rebound with a married women...that sucks big time. More smut!
