By the way, Mynok, I'm planning on giving a copy of "The Martian Hop" to my upstairs neighbor for his kid. Will you be available if he needs help showing his son how to do the dance?

Tonight for dinner I cooked some chicken wings and used a secret sauce recipe called TEXAS BBQ SAUCE

The wings were baked in the oven for 1 hour at 180 C (pre warmedto 200C). After 30 minutes turn the wings over. Added to this was some mashed spuds with REAL butter and a sprinkelling of Dill, with chopped vegies such as carrots and peas.

And now brothers, the secret sauce recipe:-

Texas BBQ Sauce

2 chicken stock cubes

4 tblspns Worcestershire sauce

2 tsps Tabasco

2 tsps sugar

2 tsps butter

6 tblsps ketchup

2 tsp mustard

2 tbspns vinegar

½ tspn salt

Combine in saucepan over med heat until butter dissolved...pour over chook and bung into the oven on med heat

PS I double this quantity per chook for nice saucy meal

Damn, that sounds good, Raver. That sauce does look a little too strong for me, though: stomach isn't lined in steel the way it used to be.

You can ease back on the Tabasco and I think that a tablespoon of honey would also take the edge off. Seeing as I was also cooking for my two teenage boys, I only added 1/4 of the Tabasco and they loved it.

Good morning/afternoon/evening, Threaders (and heretic(s))...

Hope you are all doing well.

We here at NAKED ANIMAL Central have survived the huge rainstorm here and did not get washed away by a flash flood. This will help alleviate the drought (and threat of fires) in North Texas. Hopefully all the other WITPers in the Dallas area also came through OK (up to 11" of rain just south of Dallas).

Anyway, there will (hopefully) be another NAKED ANIMAL Contest later today (as soon as get done dealing with the Roomba (robotic vacuum cleaner) people...)

I like 3-1 hot sauce (your favorite) to butter, cooked in a saucepan until the butter melts. But it will light you up if you use a really hot sauce. Hey, they're buffalo wings...wadda ya expect?

I also prefer deep fried wings to baked ones. The sauce sticks better (probably the oil and butter) and the crispy skin adds nice texture.

Mmm....man, I may need to make some tonight.......

Do you have a review of the Roomba? Do you like it? Any quirks/gotchas?

I really want to get one of these for the wife. We have two cats and you don't need guess at the consequences to the floor from that. Furballs everywhere.......

Shortly after this (at around 22 minutes), someone finally came on the line. After i described that problem i was having, they said they would have someone call me within 72 hours. i decided i really didn't care to wait around for (maybe) someone to call me 3 days from now.

So, instead, i am returning this defective &*$%!## to the store...

i am not sure what to make of this - word of mouth and what i've read had this product highly rated, but i am less than impressed by this experience.
