Beret and cigarette - must be a french squirrel.

This reminds of a the great squirrel hoax of 1994.

i was living outside of Washington DC when there were a series of bizarre squirrel attacks a couple of miles from where i was living. A "gang" of squirrels attacked some kids, and one woman was bitten. She required rabies shots, and whined load and long that she didn't think she should have to pay for them (eventually the city did...)

Anyway, my son was dating a young lady (who is now my daughter-in-law) and she grew up in the immediate area where the attacks took place.

The next week, a huge oak fell over (about 6 feet in diameter). It made the local paper, and i composed an alternate article in which (supposedly) a local ranger attributed the tree's demise to squirrels gnawing through the trunk. My future daughter-in-law was stunned at this, but she grabbed the paper to read the article, and found what i had composed taped inside (and had read it to her).

For weeks afterwards, i kept finding little news items about bizarre doings by squirrels (and other rodents) and would forward to my future daughter-in-law as proof of a worldwide squirrel conspiracy. I keep finding similar articles from time to time.

Did you hear about the consignment of live squirrels from somewhere in the Far East that did not have the right paperwork when they got as far Egypt. They threw them in an industrial shredder to get rid of "the problem". Sick b*****ds!

Perhaps the delinquent squirrel gang that terrorised the town above could get revenge somehow?

Bah! You're all pikers. I know of another forum where some members have done ten to fifteen thousand posts in a few months. Those are people who have given up even the illusion of a life.

You know the Superman refrain, "Able to leap over tall buildings in a single bound, etc."? As soon as I read about it being a beer thermos my mind started generating a new version. It starts "Able to urinate over tall buildings in a single stream...". (And Frag's gonna kill me for posting that much. )

Fabertong, that thermos in your pocket, that's not an ordinary thermos, that is a beer thermos, and its not only a beer thermos, it's a microbrewery thermos, and it's not only a microbrewery thermos, it's a thermos full of life, a thermos full of need to be free, a thermos to drink wherever, whenever and with whomever you choose.
