For I did interweave the Thread into itself
and it did take unto itself shape and pleasing color
that did fit unto my poor body.

Where upon it did comfort and warm me
and cover my shameful nakedness
allowing me to step forth before the people.

And so I do so
to spread the word and faith
of the Thread!

Dratted firewalls, web security, etc., keeps getting worse and worse.

Pretty soon Mordak, our IT director, will have the computer so secure no one can possibly use it for any reason whatsoever. i'm just a bit surprised he just hasn't cut all incoming and outgoing lines to the servers...

In a story mentioned here on The Thread: A British Court has decided (against most legal experts opinions) that Apple is not really in the music business, and so did not violate their written copyright agreement with Apple Music. The court ruled they were in a digital distribution business, not a music business since they did not own the rights to the ones and zeros they were distributing...

Ok, bird guys. (Are there any here?)

There is bird living in a tree outside our house that insists on calling loudly and incessantly at 3 friggin AM. In fact, I can here him/her singing right now at 12:30 and it's just getting started.

Is a 12 gauge my only option, because it is a strongly considered option right now.

Try a .22 cal with CB (or is it CP) rounds. All it has is a primer. Short range and practically no sound.

Went out and bought myself a new printer today, subsequent to the suicide of my former one. It's one of those HP multi-function things: it can print, scan, copy, make coffee, showel snow, clean the gutters, function as an AC, vacuum, microwave popcorn... It barely fits on my desk, but hey...

Damn, mine doesn't shovel snow. Should have waited a couple more months.

What happened to the fan? Had it become disillusioned with its idol and quit in disgust? And what size was the fan to fit inside a PC case...?

Well, we don't know for certain. Fans are so easily replacable that we didn't bother diagnosing it, but I suspect it has an extremely unpleasant wife who broke one of its balls.

Bizarre fact recently heard to reinforce T.'s opinion of the people of the United States:
in a poll conducted recently, most people believe that their vote for someone on American Idol is as important as their vote for President of the United States...

Shoot, don't people PAY to vote on American Idol (900 telephone number)... as opposed to the typical $20 bribe they get for voting in an presidential (or other) election.
