Where's that anti-social bunny.  We could kick him around for a couple hours and get some frustration out of our system.

Ok, I swear I did not alter this photo.  I took at in New Brunswick, NJ at the intersection of RT 18 South and Burnett Street.

Look closely at the federal number and you will see why we have a deficit. If they do all their accounting like this we are doomed.

Nice to know that the State is either:

1. Inventing new numbers.
2. Hiring morons who can't count.

I don't know if I am disturbed more by the fact that they made a mistake or that the sign has been up for 3 months now and no one has noticed.

I was stuck in traffic last week and did a double take when I saw the number.  I cam back this weekend with a camera just to make sure I wasn't imagining it.

Ok. Good idea Niceguy.

I feel f*cked off. P*ssed off at being away on work for 2 weeks.

P*ssed off at me and the misses. grumble.

Etc etc

I'll toast to that sentiment.

--------------
Great, the quote function doesn't work anymore ... this forum software upgrade - isn't. It is a downgrade.

Anyway, i will also toast the sentiment. (grumble)

Work situation is rapidly heading south, and it looks increasingly likely that i will need to get a new job... consequently, we are getting the house ready to sell ("just in case"). This is an enormous time sink, of course, leaving me little time for anything except - work. i occasionally revolt and post to The Thread (which takes up minutes per day!!)

All this has led to my previously referred-to existential crisis, not to mention an obscene amount of stress in my life, and increasing grumpiness. frustration, and short-temperedness.

There is a possibility (slim and getting slimmer) that all this will blow over. However, i've found that generally in my life experience, i have been too much an optimist about work situations. But hopefully, i am wrong this time about the medium to long-term  (3 months+) prospects.

Sorry to hear that Robert.  Job transitions are always very stressful.  Moving would kind of suck wouldn't it, after putting so much effort into that house.

P.S. If you are going through a job change glance at www.atasearch.com under career resources.  The page is my professional search  page and there are some good best practice articles there for changing jobs.

P.S.S. You are right, not having a quote function on the post window is a bone head move - otherwise I like some of the "upgrades"

Yeah, it's pretty stupid. You have to click "quote" on top of the post you want to quote now...

Yeah - problem is, it (clicking "quote" at the top) no longer works from where i am posting (work) - it did before. In fact, clicking on "reply" no longer works. Only way i can post is "fast reply" - and use cut and paste. Perhaps it works from home (another location and browser)... i'll have to check.

Niceguy - i'll have to check out the "atasearch" function (later). i have only just been browsing some job offerings, having resisted the idea of changing jobs yet again... however, it is looking more and more likely.

Mine works using i.e. 6.0...still its a pain as I was in the habit of hitting reply and THEN deciding if I wanted to quote...now they're making me plan ahead.

Works for me.  If its not working for you, then I would guess that your pop-up blocker or firewall is the culprit.  However, there is a way to manually "quote".  Just put
and
at the beginning and end of your cut-n-pasted text.  That will generate the little white box.

I have only been gone from the thread for less than 22 hours (and I peeked at lunch as guest without logging on).  I want to know what principle we are talking about.  Let me quess; elementary, junior high or high school.  Wait that is principal.

Sorry, my wife is a school teacher.  I had to throw that in.

That works OK for one quote, but for multiple stuff like this, that is not a great solution...

It seems to work from home, but not from work.

Well, this is the thread for this post.  I made it to 100.  How come I am never here when Terminus is?  Could be that he is in Europe and probably is in bed right now?
