And you have the distinction of being in the same time zone as Krakow and Ankara.

I'm not.

Look's like T went to bed. What? It's only like 2AM over there. He's on vacation. Can't he stay up until 3 or 4 like any civilized college student?

i think he is an hour before GMT ...

Try an hour after GMT. It's called CET.

i thought you would reach 1 am before London - so wouldn't that make you an hour BEFORE GMT (i.e. GMT + 1) . We seem to be 6 hours after GMT (GMT-6) here - i.e. it is almost 7 am here, 1 pm in London, and i guess 2 pm in Denmark.

i suspect this is an issue of how we are using the words "before" and "after"...

It's just after 2 PM here (1400 hours); I'd say that makes CET an hour after GMT (GMT+1), while you guys are six hours before GMT (GMT-6)...

The only time I've actually watched curling I could actually hear my synaptic processes slowing down. There are only four sports more boring to spectators than curling:

- Chess
- Golf
- Synchronised Swimming
- Poker

T, I thought so too until I saw the female curling in the Olympics. I'm hooked.

Generally good form, but I'd like to see more extension on the front paws. 9.8

Oh yeah.

Out of several choices including ice skating, speed skating and biathlon (my personal favorite, nothing quite as enthralling as skiing girls with guns) Maj. Solli picks curling. I bet youre a hit at female Harley rides, sir.

Well, now that I am not going to watch U571, what I am I going to watch?

Master & Commander?
12 O'clock High?
The Longest Day?
Battle of Britain?
Looney Tunes, Back in Action?

I love M&C, despite the fact that picturing Mr. Crowe as an officer and a gentleman requires more suspension of disbelief than I got. There is just something about the age of sail naval epics that I cant resist.

If you wanna add annother movie to that list, try Zulu, with Michael Caine. Great old movie.

Personally, I like the Longest Day. One of the better D-day movies IMHO.

Of course you realize that time does not actually exist - just a personal theory of mine - or more precisely, everything is happening all at once.

Ok, new poll. This one is open eneded. What is the hands down, most realistic, makes your pulse race, sitting on the edge of your seat, makes you jump up out of your chair and sing your national anthem, best war movie you have ever seen?

I'd have to think about it. It might be Zulu for me.

Sorry to be the one to break the news.

So, when do you start your new job? How will it affect the important stuff in life (WitP and this thread)?
