Not me, that silver car you see is mine. It has about 8 inches of ground clearence. Out at the throat of the circle, it was about 12 inches of water. That car stayed in the driveway. The van has much better ground clearence.

Exactly. Also my superiority at WW2 gaming was clear this week when Dumbass conceded our game. He knew better to save the denizens of Seatle from certain death

Also became clear T is crap at gaming too.....

You seem to be doing very well in making my point for me, Brickbrain. Everyone knows a Tiger could destroy a Sherman with its machine guns!

Well, if you're controlling it, I suppose there'd be quite a lot of farting, considering your questionable personal hygiene..

Bah, I haven't yet begun to fight...

Speaking of something else, I just picked up the new expansion to Rome: Total War, Alexander. Ridiculously cheap, and the game seems quite a bit more difficult. Maybe it's because the Macedonians don't have as many missile troops as the Romans; all those phalangists have to point their long pigstickers somewhere, so they can't throw pilae as well...

Alexander is only available as a download from totalwar.com. It's basically a campaign game stretching over the whole of Alexander's campaign against the Persians, so it goes outside the standard Rome: Total War map.

You also only have Alexander's lifetime to run in, so you have to see if you can do better than he did (good luck with that)... Voice acting by Brian Blessed, which also helps.

I've been having some trouble with BI recently, but yeah, I like that too.

Okay WiTP question. I have a transport task force in jolo. I want to evac the engineering unit there. I spent the political points to reassign unit to Austrailia. AK TF has a capacity of 9000. Eng unit requires 7298 space in AK. Why can't I load the unit?

Things work strangely in loading units. i generally figure to get *at least* twice the stated capacity of a TF in order to get things to run smoothy.

i am not sure, but not only does the space for the unit increase when you use AKs, but the AK capacity is HALVED on top of that. So, a 7000 ton AK might actually be able to load only 3500 carrying capacity points worth of troops. On top of that, it does some strange things with distribution sometimes that messes things up worse.

People have been complaining about loading routines since UV days.

Also, if you try to load more than one unit at a time, things go haywire. Form one TF for each LCU, load, then combine TFs.

Good luck on this...

Hi Robert, is this new information on the job front? I haven't had time to keep up with the Thread lately - 50 lashes with a wet noodle for me.

I will try to move more transports into hex to see if that works if they don't get bombed and sent to the bottom. It is Dec 16 and i have only lost 17 ships. thanks Robert.

If I'm reading this right, than you won't load that unit onto any transports

Its not a capacity issue because at least part of your unit would load and if I read correctly, none of it is loading.

If that is the case try disbanding the TF and reforming it. Otherwise, does the unit belong to a restricted command?

Yup, if it's assigned to Australia Command then you've just wasted your PP's...
