Whew! Sorry, i couldn't help in the final bit there - a tech came in all upset and i needed to give reassurance. i hope it (the reassurance) is warranted!!

The "company melts on July 1" scenario is still on, but we are getting some reassurances that it won't REALLY melt - just get a bit soft and squishy...

EDIT: refer to earlier scatalogical reports...

Tis what happens when you try to go from "rock, paper, scissors" to WitP. It's a steep learning curve.

Pretty much. The way I figure it my opponent and I will probably lauch major offensives on the same day, after a month of prep.

Edit: It makes for really quick turns.

I just counted the casualties from yesterdays combat. It was a total of 20 from combat. On the other hand, 57 Japanese were wounded falling out of their boats onto a deserted beach. Must have been too much saki from the boredom.

Why not just Tatoo it to the inside of your eyelids?

Best part of that Trilogy hands down was the Mines of Moria.

Those books became even more interesting to me after I learned that Tolkein fought in WWI and that much of it was a metaphor for his experiences.

Fantastic book, fantastic. Films are a darn good effort too.

My favourite characters - Nazgul.

What makes you think I didn't?

Nazgul? lol! I agree on the movies. They were very well done. It is difficult to turn a series of books that are really about journeying into a movie people will enjoy. Tremendous job.

Tolkien was pretty clear that the books were not a metaphor nor an allegory. He did admit that his own experiences colored his approach to writing the story and some elements of the story.

EDIT PS: My favorite characters are the elves.
