Help. Another question. Which ways are north south east and west on this crazy map.

Apperently, the map is skewed in order to maintain correct distances... More or less, its a quarter of a circle, where north is somewhere arround NE corner, while south is in SW.

Good afternoon all. It's less than 2 hours to the next shuttle launch attempt. According to the NASA blog, the crew is in, the hatch is closed with cabin leak checks in work (a leaky crew module on orbit is bad). Also the IMU pre flight cal is almost complete. More to come.

Also, according to NASA.gov, This is a crew of 6, 5 Americans and 1 ESA astronaught (Thomas Reiter, a German I believe). This is STS-121 the 32nd flight of orbiter OV-103, Discovery.

Well, maybe he thinks cartoons are for weinies ... i am not sure what he MEANS by "weinies" - where i went to school, that was the term for the guys who studied. i suspect he has something else in mind...

It's kind of hard to explain without going into a lot of detail, but I work on the orbiter part.

When the film is developed (next day or 2) I will post one of those. That roll also has a couple of good ones from Yorktown flight deck also.

Well, Origins is over, but I assume it went well as usual... Not much coverage of it from Matrix' POV this year. Last year, they'd set up a Webcam...
