This looks more like my swimming pool... our creek is usually pretty opaque!

Donnie Darko - a cult film, would have probably been a pretty big hit except that one of the main plot points involved an airline accident - and it was released right before 9/11 (i think about 3 days before, or something like this.)

Very strange flik - involves time travel and a disturbed teenager... people either love it or hate it with no middle ground.
