Well - for a brief shining moment i am back... but now i must take wife out to dinner... she is annoyed at me for my being annoyed at work, i fear... she really likes the area and would like to stay here.

All things are possible, but i've found myself doing something i've only noticed a few times in my life - my subconscious sending me a really clear message.

Towards the end of the work day, i found myself whistling a tune, and i thought "that's odd, i'm not really THAT happy - why am i whistling seemingly cheerfully" - then i realized the tune being whistled was "Won't Get Fooled Again".

No, when i figured it out, it was sort of "bolt from the blue" - i was being told not to be fooled by these corporate guys again (once was more than enough

).

Wife says she is not annoyed at me for being annoyed, she is annoyed that i was the only one that EXPRESSED being annoyed at the meeting - thus marking myself for destruction!
