Bah, bring 'em on! Zoing!(tm) is invincible...

Besides, with the hot water that the Evil Empire(tm) is in with the judiciary, I'll win any copyright lawsuit pants down...

Unless your a large beauracracy dont challenge the evil empire. Death by litigation is not a pretty sight. On the otherhand, death by beauracracy is even uglier.

Death by bureaucracy? Isn't that what most people call "government"?

More fun at the Money Pit:

This morning, while sitting on the patio, i looked over to see a rather large snake slithering around the door. Wife chased it a short distance away into the garden (after snapping a pic)... i was sitting there just after and looked up to see a largish grey fox run along the edge of the yard (new species - hadn't ever seen one in the "wild" before ever! )

Although my wife was sitting there with her camera in hand, she couldn't get it together enough to snap a pic of the fox.

On letting him out, the Male (guard) dog immediately discovered the snake, and i chased it (yellow-bellied watersnake, i think) out of the backyard and it slithered out of sight.

What follows is a self edited statement.

Government is [bleep] as most people [bleep] know. What microsoft found out is that you don't [bleep] challenge the [bleep] EU or they will [bleep][bleep][bleeping][bleep] you in [bleep] beuracracy. Even microsofts [bleep] lawyers [bleeping] cower in fear.

Ditto... But that's the whole point of parents when the children become teenagers... To embarrass their kids.

Maybe you can pull an M2HB from the armoury, bring it home, and sit in your den cleaning that while he's there. No explanation would be needed there...

Pardon my asking, but what is a M2HB

Just finished reading "Bloody Shambles Vol 2".

Mostly i was impressed by how awful the squadron commanders and esp. those in command above seemed to be in the Malaysia/Burma/DEI theater.

Example: air squadron dumped on some air field without adequate supplies and equipment. Some Air Marshall flies in and spends the entire time of his visit berating them for their unkempt uniforms.

Example: When told "Zeros" would fall apart trying to follow Hurricanes in a flat-out dive, some Hurri pilot decides to see how well his machine will do. Answer: not very well - the undercarriage comes unglued and he has to crash-land. He gets a dressing down from his immediate superior, but then the Squadron Leader demands the pilot be courtmartialed. A few days later, the KB comes to visit (the attack that trashed Ceylon, and various RN ships), and the immediate superior is scrambling to intercept when the Squadron Leader climbs on the wing of his airplane and starts yelling at the guy that he hasn't seen any action about a court martial! Eventually, the S.L. finally allows the guy to take off, and he is immediately shot down by Zeros arriving over the field (pilot is wounded and burned...)

Example: An officer and 2 enlisted men escape from the Japanese in Burma and make their way to Allied lines. The enlisted men are decorated "on the spot" - and the officer is reprimanded for having his uniform out of sorts!

Apparerently, i wasn't the only one struck by the miserable quality of leadership. An RAAF Squadron Leader had a multi-page essay at the end of the book blasting the "high command".

It's almost surreal, isn't it...? I've just ordered my first Conway's, but sometime along the line maybe I'll be picking up "Bloody Shambles"...
