To be honest he's alaways been a bit on the podgy side...........if he's dead you'll have to swallow the microfilm for him.......and on no account should you read the detailed dossier he was prepping on you.........

Oh dear, guess I'll have to forget what I read then... By the way, your Plan D would never have worked. I moved those missiles several months ago...

The Thread reminds me of that thing they do in the US Congress to waste time - Fillibuster.

Well, back this morning to check on The Thread whilst i wait to find a turn from my opponent.

Some cool pics were added!

BTW - re: the T-shirt pic that was posted a few pages back- i have seen similar ones around, so you can probably find them for sale...

Whoa!! The potential market is staggering!!

Let's see - tooling up costs of $1.2 million, with $750,000 allocated for marketing ought to do it... Potential sales in the DOZENS!!! A bit of markup, hmmm, how does $100,000 per t-shirt sound??

Brethren, i don't know if other lesser threads (which, of course, are just part of The Thread) have intruded on your consciousness of late, but some mysterious and interesting comments by Mike Wood were recently made on

ETA on Patch 1.8?
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=1046506

Some one else said that Erik R. made a similar statement on another Matrix (??) forum ...

So, we need to rev up the old rumor mill here!!!

I suggested we sic Secret Agent Penguin on the case, and promptly (partially) blew his cover by posting this pic... my only excuse being he is Master of Disguise and doesn't look like this when on the case.

EDIT: We need to be able to attach little WAV files to the messages! The guitar solo for the start of the James Bond movies attached here would be so cooooll....

RE-EDIT: oops, accidentally hit "quote" instead of edit...

So, is no one going to offer an opinion about what the "big development" is??

Somebody immediately (jokingly) said "WITP 2!! It's confirmed!!"

So, what do you think? New game? They are releasing the WITP code? Going bankrupt? Buying out Microsoft from all the fat profits made on WITP???

No. No. No. No.

Of course, there must be some sort of reason why 1.8 is so dreadfully delayed. Maybe they've secretly finished WiE in record time and are releasing it tomorrow.

Don't I wish. Then again, if you saw how many times I've had to hit he "Backspace" key when I post...

There will be no patch blastphemiing here!

P.S.: And if you knew how long it has taken me to remember the name of the author of that line from "Heart of Darkness"...

Jeez, I must be getting old. First I find out there's no Santa Claus...
