My God. A story and a half. I have heard of that 'combat quirk' before. What's the score in your game so far? You tagged any of his CV's? I have only managed to sink CVE Hosho with a Mk XIV

Well, i had heard of the combat quirk where your combat TF stops to refuel, but for some reason it never occurred to me to worry about a bunch of supply ships doing it.

i don't know if i have sunk any CVs yet. Soryu got nailed with at least 22 penetrating hits from 500 pound bombs, but apparently is sitting (relatively) safe in port at Luganville. One bomber managed to plant one hit on her that touched off a fuel explosion, but she made port where i pounded her for several days with the heavies while she was motionless in drydock. i think she is still afloat though... and the heavies can no longer fly from Noumea as its airfield is a shambles.

EDIT: oh, the score. Something like 22K to 9400. Lots and lots of dead aircraft in this game.

Speedy, what do you mean supply will actually increase if I retreat to Chunking? My opponent has worked hard at reducing my supply in China. He has engaged me at all fronts and bombards and attacks as much as possible. I think his strategy is to break China by eliminating supply. I think he has invaded India with the primary purpose of taking all bases within supply transport range of China. The next few months may push things to a breaking point there.

Coyotes, is there a better symbol of the American West?

Early in my career I worked a field scientist job on what was supposed to be a wildlife refuge. We had all sorts of critters including Coyotes on the site. One day I was walking up over a hill, rounded a bend in the trail and came nose to nose with a Coyote. The wind was blowing so hard he could neither hear me, nor smell me as I approached. We looked at each other for a moment and then both slowly backed away. It was an interesting experience, certainly the closest I ever had gotten one of them before.

I enjoyed that job. We used to arrive at work a little before dawn and there was often a heavy fog over the area. We could see the deer moving through the grass and every once in a while you would catch the siloutte of a coyote circling the group of deer. Never saw them catch one, though I saw them catch many a rabbit.

Dern. Missed the contest. Anyone have an extra million dollars hanging around so I don't have to work anymore?

I was actually looking for a game about punting cats, but couldn't find it so I thought I would see what was out there for penguins. Turns out there is a lot of latent pent up anger towards penguins...go figure. What's that all about Mr. fabertong?
