A. First, I tried to download your game into a folder in my D Drive (most space; had to uninstall) and second, my C Drive (Official Windows' Drive) (had to uninstalled); however still kept receiving the following errors:

AA. TrueVision 3D Error: Device Error the device has not been created

BB. Run-time error '91': object variable or with blaock variable not set

B. Second, after having to uninstall The Maximum FootBall Game the second time, it also deleted all my files for creating my own company, that was in the same folder!!! Luckily, most of the files are backed-up; however, still puts me back for at least a month, lost my visual explanation of my companies unique playoff system-last months and 100+-games!!!! Made me mad as hell!

GWsFBA,

First, I'm very sorry for the trouble you've had. A few responses:

A. When you say "download", do you mean you tried to install it? We do specify enough free space to cover installation in the minimum specs.

AA. This generally indicates that the game components were not installed. Did you allow the required Game Components and DirectX to install during the installation or did you uncheck those boxes?

BB. Where exactly did this error occur? Can you use the instructions at the top of this forum to post a DxDiag file for us please?

B. I was horrified to read this. Frankly, it never occurred to anyone here that a customer would install the game into the same folder with already existing important and unrelated files. Many games delete their installation folders when uninstalling and it's always a good idea to install them in their own, separate folder. I can understand why you are mad, but we really could not have anticipated this one. When the game is told to uninstall, it removes all files and then all game folders. We specifically updated our installers to do this because we got some requests from customers that a few files (logs, saves and such) were often left behind otherwise.

Again, I'm very sorry for what happened to your files, but there's nothing we really could have done to prevent that in this case. Please reinstall the game in its own unique folder and please post a DxDiag file for us to check for the source of the other issues.

[Edit] I should add the following - have you already checked the Recycle Bin? There are also some inexpensive file recovery software tools available via the internet that may help you recover your lost files.

C. What browser and version are you using to read the forums?

Regards,

- Erik

I guess the deletion of those valueable files and one-unbacked-up file is mainly my fault. I should have backed-up the one huge file on one of my CD-Roms and never downloaded the game into a used file in the first-place and created a brandnew file. Or I guess I could have just fixed my other computer first and used it.

Thou, it would be nice if game development would arrive to the point that they only delete their own files.

Yes, everything.

When I tired to go past the first menu-screen, to the complete game menu screen.

I am pretty busy, as you can imagine, I will read it and see. Plus, I am getting my other computer fixed, so I can compare Maximum FootBall to F.P.S.:F.B.P. '98, will not risk the computer again, since I share it.

Word of advice, NEVER install any software in the same location as your OS's esential Program files. I always install my games in there own unique Directory called "Games". No offense, but it baffles me why you would try to install any software where there already is software to begin with.

I did not do that and would never do that (separate harddrives altogether), those where my files for the company I am finishing creating.

Regardless, why would you still install the game where there are already critical files to begin with?

I think when he says company he means the league he's creating for MaxFB; I could be wrong though.

Oh... ok. I didn't know that. When he says "Companies" I thought he was some sort of small buisness owner trying to play the game. I guess "Companies" are his word of saying "leagues".

Part of all the following:

a. Busy with creating the company,

b. sharing that computer,

c. so excited with the possibility that a better or equal to F.P.S.:F.B.P. '98 just newer version-work with latest Windows and software,

d. on two-deadlines, complete finish the company as soon as possible and work at 4:30pm yesterday,

.....that I did not stop and remember what you said, the first time.

the second time I put the game in a separate folder in that folder.

No, you guiys are all off a little, but very important differences.

The FootBall Association (try to put in everything in real FootBall, I view as positive). Later on in The G.W.'sF.B.A.'s Development be played in a safe Internet environment. For years playing in Kendall & Coral Gables, Miami, Fl. - Florida City, Miami, Fl. Multiplayer Centers. After the first-two-years, visit the west coast and other states, to play in other states' multiplayer centers to play, each year's The G.W.'sF.B.A.'s 1-99 PreSeason Tournament Games, not the game's 5-preSeason Games.

Only ONE-version of The FootBall Association spread-out through all states, with those states' teams/programs/franchises. As even as possible amount of teams/programs/franchises in each (I have already created the teams/programs/franchises).

Rejected already by some CFB Programs for licensing, I am thinking of just not purchasing licensing right off the bat, and later when they come around purchase the all licensing of Teams/Programs/Franchises. Have exteremly close teams/programs/franchises to the real versions.

Main part (never affected by the other parts) FootBall Gaming, Other Parts (in Order of Importance): Education/Exposure, Personal Development of Communities and their citzens/Bringing Generations/Families Together, Develop Young FootBall Players and Coaches. Thus, higher interns/employees who are in Education, real FootBall (expect if doing wrong-ei CFB Programs and players, especially Florida International University - I have inside knowledge).

You know when I posted that I really thought so; however, now all I would need (that was not backed-up) is the playoff explanation to be used as a template for creating a more easier distrubited copy. The computer file was way too large to move between computers, except for CD-Roms and no one opens CD-Roms unless they know more. So I am thinking of doing science project type of thing. I have the materials.

I don't know where this post is going. Buddy, just remember next time to install the game in a DIFFERENT directory and away from any critical files on your computer.

OMG I had the same thing happen to me we must have like horizontal lives or something. my mom friggin always deletes stuff off my computer I dont know how many times she does this to me and loses my games forever that I gave my hearts to and she just shrugs and I want to punch the wall but I just scream into a pillow until I almost pass out and she asks if I need to talk to someone. no I dont need to talk to no doctor again just dont delete my GD games from the computer how hard is that all my work and it is hard work becasue I am at levels that very few every get to and then i tell ppl and they get jeaouls of me i would show them but now that she deletes they call me a liar and that i didnt reach those levels it makes me crazy and mad both at the same time. I hope you can find ur busniss again because that would svuck hard to lose ur company after all that work but the good news is you have this game now and from all that I read it is the best football game there ever was before so you can be happy you have it I am still trying to get my mom to give me her credit card so I can get it but she keeps saying no, because she got on this site and read stuff she said it was not worth it like she knows anything she said the same thing about GTA san adreas and that game made a billion dollars so she must not know everything about it. she friggin told my brother about it and he said it sucked too and she believed him because he played football for real but he didnt even really look at it for more than 5 minutes and he told me what do i care stick to my gay RPG and i told him i wasnt gay there was a girl in uil math who liked me but that was before i found out it was a joke performed on me by bryan and skidmark to make me talk to her and find out she didnt know me like they said.
