When this started, way back when, we were asked to make up a list we could turn in, so Matrix would have a idea of what needed to be fixed

later we expanded it, and asked others what they thought needed to be fixed, or bugs they thought were still in the game, and more stuff was added to the list

I have wanted for a while now to post a list of what we have been able to get done so far, but my guys are shy, and didn't want anything posted until we had more then one or two bugs found and crushed

and as it is still early, we hope you will not be too disappointed at how slow our work is going

but here is the start of what we have gotten done so far

Fixed

SAS Bug (AC and pilots are no longer lost several days after a strafe)

Climb rate bug (Interceptors now climb appropriately)

Leader Exp bug

High Alt Bug (Bomb accuracy is now correct over 32767 feet)

Early game Scoreing Bug (Negative Score is shown correctly)

Double Damage from hitting a balloon

Intercept bug found and fixed

Manatory Target scoreing bug

Freeze Ray

DOVER

plus we have been able to add in a goodie or two

still early, still Alpha, but we getting there

Harley and Wannyo have been great

they tell me, I been a pain

Its been a few years since I've played this game. I recall one item that really bugged me; German night fighter groups splitting into hundreds of swarms all over the map and not finding the Brits. Was this ever fixed? Was this considered a bug?

ahhhh

that is not a bug, once in flight, the Gruppen would split into single(pair, Kette) units and then try and lock onto a target and follow it

so in case, it is not a bug, but the way it is set up

hassle is early on, Windows is in full effect, and the NJG have a lot of trouble locking on, or kicking a lock

again, not a bug, but the way it was set up

over the years, the more Radar and night fighting was worked on, the more it seems to of been broken, trying to fix it

we will try and work something out so it gets back to the old way of playing, screw up, you get slaughtered, plan right and you do great

Thanks for the info. IIRC, the RAF had to suspend night bombing over Germany in mid April and did not resume until July because of the horrific losses. I was not able to replicate that, or come even close. I did win the full campaign game as Germany, but the night offensive was still going strong. Something is slightly askew in the system, or perhaps I did not master night engagements-I was doing quite well before windows arrive. I had the better part of the NJG converted to He219's-I was looking forward to clearing the skies, but I just got a nible each night.

over all it is going to be pretty HARD to stop completely any of the forces, either GE or Allied

you can take losses in the game that is real life would of broke a force

JCJ
sorry missed yours

that over all is not a real bug, just nobody really knew it was going to happen, so it caught a lot of people when it did

once the bases in France start to open up, the IXth and 2nd Tac got to be moved over, as all the bases in England are going to change over to 8th and FC control

maybe we can add in a catch all, or a message pop up to let the player know they got to get things moved ?

there is a bug with some of the French AF's

we will look into both areas when we get the chance

Was air groups leaving partial forces at their home airfield considered a bug when flying shuttle missions?

Stopped using that option because I had partial airgroups all over the place.

The only real bugs in shuttles was the rump still receiving replacements, so a merged group became a supergroup, and trying to shuttle a Det caused major headaches. Both are on the "list", and both can be avoided by changing the AC type of the Det to anything else. With no AC the pilots are magicked back home, and the rump gets any AC it still needs to get up to strength...

I see no issue with shuttles leaving the rump - otherwise you just have a cheap feature to move units to another command, and that's not what it's supposed to be for...

IIRC, the biggest errors were in the maps, cities in wrong places, etc. A French fellow once had a site with corrections.

Are night fighters supposed to be moving at top speed when within 50 miles of a target? I don't known much about night fighter tactics but wouldn't they just cruise around looking for sightings? This would make a big impact in how long a plane could stay in the air wouldn't it?
