Must be. My Uncle Roy used to use it all the time. He had a thing about dropping initial syllables. I think maybe he didn't hear very well.

This was likely due to the presence of his wife, my Aunt Hazel. She talked like her life depended on it. Roy finally got to the point where he just tuned her out. It was amazing how he could carry on a conversation with you while she was sitting there yammering away at him.

I remember one time I was sitting on my parents' couch listening to Hazel talk. I have no idea what she was on about and probably didn't then, either.

In any event, I dozed off. When I woke up some 15 or so minutes later, she was still talking. She must have noticed I was asleep, because she was looking across the table at Roy. When she realized I was awake again, she refocused herself on me, and kept right on going. Never missed a beat.

Roy never used profanity, but he always let you know what he was thinking about saying. "Son of a biscuit eater" was one of his greatest hits, as was "Aaah, sugardonuts."

His favorite car was the "Dilliac." He drank "At's Blue Ribbon."

Best pool hustler you'd ever want to see, but he was a little, skinny guy, and was always getting into hot water with the guys he was hustling when they finally realized they were being had. Fortunately, Roy had five brothers, so he made out okay.

Careful, they like that, and if you give them a taste for it, they will eat you alive.

I gotta be careful, you know. What I see as sweet, innocently displayable flesh is regarded by some of those who run the premises as naughty bits.

Dominicanas are wonderful treasures. One of the best things about them is that they seem to have trouble keeping their clothes on.
