Hi-Playing v2.41(I hope that's the latest) , Allies, 8/29/42. I have a CV TF in a hex. In the same hex I have a 3 AO TF, filled with fuel. I refueled the CV TF, but ended up with 1 CV showing fuel in the red. I again tried to refuel the CV TF & got a "No fuel source" message. How come? I also had ops points remaining in both TFs. Thanks, Hugh Browne

Just for clarification, how many op pnts did the AO use (not the TF it was in)? It may take two day to fuel those CV TFs -- they're real fuel hogs!

Sarge-I checked further & you were right-the AOs had used 1000 op points. Thanks again. HB

I think, after reading the little things you have to take care for while performing action,i've got much to read.
So i will start to copy the game-pdf manual at work first thing next week!!!

I also couldn't refuel from some AOs once. It turned out they were designated as a transport TF, not a replenishment TF. Once I changed the designation, all was well. ('Til the sub attack in torpedo junction hit my carrier who had to sit in the same hex for 2 days due to my stupidity!).

I started to make some spreadsheets that show a tree with all requirements to build up different kinds of TF in most used situations. It should help me to overcome the problem of forgetting(overseeing)to include certain options!

would it be possible for you to make an attachment? So that I can copy your idea and see if it works for me?
Or send me an e-mail? m-a-coady@web.de

Would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot.
Would be of great assistance, as I keep on forgetting orders before I move on to the next day.

After each (1 up to 7)days check the after-battle report and then before giving new orders controlate the standing orders for each and every base/naval unit/air unit/land unit before giving new orders and/or activating new combat air-/sea-/land-units.
By working down this check-list you will be better aware about the needs(supplies etc.)and options(set mission/let group rest or train etc.)of your entire force!

About the TF-tree...i've been working for about a week but the closest i get to a usable page looks pretty much like the game manual,so i canceled that project. If someone else got a better view on things...be my guest!

Hi,Br Ex!
(and all the rest,of course!)
I placed a table i use to check the status of the bases.
The idea is in the first command fase to write down all data for each base you use(or at least those who could be of importance in the played senario). When combat has resolved and the next command fase begins you can make a fast check on your bases, without forgetting one,to find out its needs and so on.I copied the page about ten times and fill in the data with pencil so i can change them wihout having to take new pages each turn.Next i make a simular page for the TF's and air power.

Ideas are,of course,verry welcome.
For those who want an editable version of the table mail me at
the_great_budha@hotmail.com and i send you the words document.

link to the tables-page:
just copy the JPG and print out it should fit an A4

I almost forgot in previous message;

The idea is that you upgrade the base data each command fase if necesery(when you aply changes or when the tread-status changes or combat acures etc,,,)to permenantly be up to date,
