A few more v1.0.122 bugs

A few more v1.0.122 bugs - 4/8/2006 7:03:23 PM

These could be bugs prior to .122 but this is what I found. This is all during computer vs. computer play:

1. The kicking team on a missed extra point got the ball back on the opponents 1 yard line.

2. I selected 8 teams from 4 divisions for the first round of the playoffs which should have been 4 games. The scheduled duplicated the 4 games for a total of 8 games.

3. A punt went out of bounds at the 3 yard line. The punt returner stood at the sideline and the game didn't advance but I was able to get the game to continue by showing the current stats. When I returned from the stats page the receiving team had the ball on their 20.

I forgot to add:

4. Subscript out of range when trying to load a saved game. I found that I had a .zip file in the folder and removed it and it worked fine after that.

1. I thought this bug was squashed a few patches ago? Where you using any special rules settings? Was it a quick play game or league play? Was it a CPU vs CPU, Coach vs CPU, Coach vs Coach, Arcade vs CPU type game?

2. I'm a little confused by this bug. Could you please explain this one again? I can't quite understand what you mean.

CPU vs. CPU. It only happened once in several games I watched. Just default American rules, league play.

When I created the playoff schedule it looked something like this:

Team 1 vs. Team 2
Team 3 vs. Team 4
Team 5 vs. Team 6
Team 7 Vs. Team 8

When I went to go play the games for round one it showed:

Team 1 vs. Team 2
Team 3 vs. Team 4
Team 5 vs. Team 6
Team 7 Vs. Team 8
Team 1 vs. Team 2
Team 3 vs. Team 4
Team 5 vs. Team 6
Team 7 Vs. Team 8

Basically I would have to play each game twice to advance. I think it is filling in all available slots for the week because I tried it with just one game like this:

Team 1 vs. Team 2

And got this for round 1

Team 1 vs. Team 2
Team 1 vs. Team 2
Team 1 vs. Team 2
Team 1 vs. Team 2
Team 1 vs. Team 2
Team 1 vs. Team 2
Team 1 vs. Team 2
Team 1 vs. Team 2

I've seen this also.

It's not very repeatable so far for me. I believe it has something to do with the save button, but I can't be sure so far.

Ah, I understand what you mean now. Ya, it looks like the game is trying to fill in a weeks worth of game during the Playoffs thinking its a regular season game or something (I assume this is a 16 team league right?).

Can you tell us if this is a Custom League or one of the Stock Leagues in the game (American, Canadian, Indoor?). I don't think people realize this but the Stock Play leagues have a few different settings compared to Custom Leagues in there Database Files. This was one of the reasons why my Schedule Utility will not work for Stock Play leagues, it will only work for Custom Designed leagues.

It is the US Maximum Football League but I changed the team name and art of one of the teams. I'll have to check out your schedule utility. Where can I find it?

Its not done yet unfortunetly. I've run into some coding problems I'm trying to figure out so it may take a while.

When it is done though, I plan to release it on the www.fbmax.com website.
