I wonder if you can get a "template grid" made to the right dimensions using some third party program like Visio, with ruled lines overlaying the work, so you can drag and drop images onto portions of it much easier.

Yeah... An old stock game file (not yours), "enhanced" with CHS F-7F, F-8F and Sea Hurri, as well as Cobra's P-80. It's a bit of an abomination, and I'd like to put a new one together based on your stock planetops, but that's a bitch of a project.

The Jap file is the same: a stock file, with CHS Ki-83, and Cobra's Kikka and Shusui tops. Those actually work rather well, but the stock tops are still rather clunky, compared to the newer stuff...

Which F7F and F8F did you use because I redid them recently. A drastic improvement I must say.

Had that thought too, recently... The planetops are a cast-iron biyatch...

Don't know enough detail on it but wouldn't something like Phtotshop have this in terms of its layout guides?

I have a friend I will ask when I get the chance.....

Cheers

Well, there's certainly a grid function in my image editor (The GIMP), so I'd be very surprised if Photoshop doesn't have it...

The reply from my 'expert' friend.....

What I think I would do if this was my project, is manually separate all the images, (I know it's a chore but from what you say it's a chore in any case) then drop them individually into a gridded area with the grid dimension specced to exactly the same size as one image and snap to grid turned on. They'll then be in perfect line (or should I say formation!) and can easily be replaced in perfect line.

Don't know if that tells people anything they didn't already know.

Roger
