Is it worthy to give heavy damaged ships full speed order to have them arrived earlier to level 3 port? Or additional damage from high (12 kn. :) ) speed is too high?

Extra system damage is not a big deal. Ships with flotation damage should never use full speed as it will cuase them to suffer even more flotation damage.

Only makes sense not to go full out with hull damage...unfortunately not a guarantee in WITP.

That's why I said one can't be too sure if the obvious is modelled or not. But at the same time, progressive flooding in the game is sort of ridiculous. The ship either sinks at the end of the day or it checks/stops the flooding.

I think I might lose a light cruiser after about two weeks! its been in a level 3 port for over a week and its flooding has increased from 50's to 70's, so at this rate it only has another week or two left. I just hope I can convince the captain not to go down with the ship! :)

Right, and i think various mods say it does not occur in WITP.

Mainly, i've noticed NO difference in top speed vs. cruise speed for severely damaged ships (but there is for moderate damaged ships.)

If it looks like the ship is going to sink, replace the commander with the worst commander you have. If he goes down with it, so what!

I wouldn't be surprised if the flooding control would be connected to leader ratings

I suspect so (but don't know for sure). If the flood damage is 97-98 and rising, I'd replace a really good commander. Nothing like having a really good commander go down with the ship in port.

Especially with a IJN ship, 97 flotation damage means the ship is going down. But if you scuttle the ship than the captain and crew is saved. Question is; does a captain from recently scuttled ship available to captain another ship?

Are aou sure the ship is docked? In size 3 port I wouldnt expect that much of a rise. Maybe bring an AR...
