Just wondering how many people you think are playing SPWAW these days.
I have no idea, anyone hazard to make a guess?

I have some info after a few people post.

Well if you look at the posts with no replies. They show on average between 100 and 150 'views'. So... I would deduce that we have around 100 to 150 'players'.

I'd estimate, off of this forum, no more than 200. Off the Depot, easily above that. It's hard to tell by just a random site statistic. There are plenty who don't come to either forums and just play by themselves, alone, devoid of contact by other human beings. :P I'd guess at least 500 casual and regular players that play this game semi-regularly.

Based on scenario downloads at the Wargamer, a minimum of 1400.

as of today there were 1600 downloads of SPWAW Enhanced...
I think theres more out there than we might have thought.

Gee, here I thought this was a REAL small market for this game. I guess the generals edition had somethign to do with this.

You can find SPWaW forums based in Japan, the US, Poland, Germany, etc. I am guessing there are quite a few of us out there.

I probably clicked on the download over 900 times cause my firewall likes to block traffic.

Actually, it's gotten me two girlfriends, a brand new car, and a horde of books that I've not had the time to dig through. I've been working steady since I was 15, so my resume tends to not get used for jobs. Not bad considering I haven't been playing for all that long really.

I used to play the original Steel Panthers, and started playing again a few months ago. I downloaded the most current edition of SPWAW. Id like to play a megacampaign but don't want to buy the General Edition. The new equipment, additional units and increased realism are great inprovements. I definately plan playing this game until a superior WWII game comes along.

Anyone have a megacampaign they want to unload on PanzerGrenadier with an itchy triger finger?

Yeah, don't knock the Japanese because of one loser. Every group has them, the Japanese and SPWaW's just happen to have one and the same loser.

One thing though, usually my g/fs are quite a good shot; if not when I meet them then after I've gone out with them a few weeks and have run them through with the Winchester .30-06. Insulting them is not something I'd do lightly, even on an internet forum.

I might be Japanese or maybe not. Perhaps I live in America and just set up my internet to make it look like all my activity is coming out of Japan.

Then again, how can anyone know anything about anyone here without a meeting in person? Flashfyre and Alby could be pedophiles eeking out their long sentences in a prison cell somewhere which allows inmates internet access.

You figure there must be many reasons for duplicate downloads from the same person. No real way to figure out how many are unique individuals, either.
