I noticed during install a number of objects are added or updated in the Windows System32 folder. I wondered why PureSim would need to invade my system folders. There are some Microsoft components that I think are part of the VB runtime. But there are also PureSim components and 3rd party controls that are placed in the System32 folder. Why is it done this way? Also, I don't see these latter objects listed in the uninstall XML, so I suspect they are permanent additions to my hard drive and registry. Is it possible to get a cleaner installation?

From the install log:
Install and Register COM files
C:\WINDOWS\system32\PureSim2005Interfaces.dll

Shaun is planning on taking over the world's computers, starting with ours.

This game uses many features that are accessed via IE.  This is why it isn't compatible with IE7.  I have no problem with it.   I have never had any security issues, if that's what concerns you.

Concerned about the game using the Windows system folders to install components that are specific to Puresim, and also concerned that it does not attempt to remove them when you uninstall it. This certainly isn't the only software program that behaves this way, but that doesn't mean one has to like it.

I posted a similar concern about last year's version, when after installing numerous upgrade versions I discovered over 100 entries for PureSim objects (many redundant) had accumulated in my machine's registry.

Me too. I used Registry Mechanic to clear the stuff out.
