SP and Sherman units as well..(Most famous is the one which Patton claimed he fought to keep out of his army, but after their valiant stand in the Bulge, he would not yield them, and publicly told them he had been wrong about them.
This was the 761st Armoured Battalion.)

Nope, there isn't. Andrew said he might do it if there is demand for it.

Andrew,
Thanks again for all the hard work on CHS by you and the "team."
Do you see version 2.03 as being the last update or will there be another one soon?? I ask because I have two CHS PBEM's awaiting minor errors being fixed before we begin.
Thanks!

The 641st (Light/Towed) arrived in Australia, 4/9/42, and was redeployed to New Guinea on 1/21/43, where the unit was equipped with 4.2" Mortars. It was redesignated 98th Chemical Mortar Battalion on 6/24/44 in New Guinea. I didn't include it in some stuff I sent to the CHS crew some time ago, because of this. However:

US ARMY CHEMICAL MORTAR BATTALIONS: (4.2” Mortars)

71st Chemical Mortar Battalion – Seattle – 7/22/45 – CENPAC
(72nd Chemical Mortar Battalion – Seattle – 6/20/45 – CENPAC – Never left Hawaii)
80th Chemical Mortar Battalion – SF – 1/26/45 – SWPAC
82nd Chemical Mortar Battalion – SF – 6/27/43 – SOPAC
85th Chemical Mortar Battalion – SF – 7/20/44 – SWPAC
88th Chemical Mortar Battalion – SF – 4/30/44 – CENPAC
98th Chemical Mortar Battalion (formerly 641st TD Bn.) – Port Moresby – 6/24/44 – SWPAC

Yes, there will be a 2.04 released in the next couple of days. I was holding off to see whether there were any further problems found, as the current list of fixes for 2.04 are all pretty minor.

Andrew,

I think your side art for the B-25C/D and B-25J are reversed. Have a look at the the graphics below (shamelessly reworked for my own use). Note position of gun turrets and waist guns.

Ouch, just started CHS 2.03, historical difficulty against IJ AI (experimental version with Soviet ships). 2-day turns..and had nasty surprise when KB didn't withdraw after first PH attack... During second day they sunk CA Indianapolis and few other ships around..and then did another port attack, putting few more torpedoes into ships in port. I think BB Arizona now got 6 torp hits...argh.

Anyhow, nice! Is that because of 2-day turn or has the orders of KB tweaked some way ? (my bet is former..but thought to ask)

You are right. The readme is not correct. There is no "mapmod_docs" in the extended map package. There is in the standard map package, so you should already have the map documentation. I will have to fix that readme for the extended map package.

I see. For the record, I could install CHS without any problems and it's great! Many thanks for this superb mod!!

In case anyone is interested: I used this version of CHS to create a planning map with base flags by joining in-game screenshots. See this thread.

I'm confused. The link at the top of this thread to the CHS Download goes to a single link at Spooky's which is dead. However On Spooky's site is a 'CHS Base Package Ver. 2b'. Is this the 2.03 or soemthing completely different? In short, where can I download the latest version?

Thanks for any help.

The CHS package is now version 2b, instead of 2. I am just a bit slow in updating my web page (I have to wait until someone has it available on their site until I can link to it). So the link should work now.

The version 2b package includes the correct Allied planetop art.

The KB does attack PH from a different location in CHS, compared to stock scenarios, but I don't know whether that makes any difference. Probably just a coincidence.

I am going through all the Allied units/bases one by one since this is my first time with CHS and extended maps to get a better understanding. I have gone through all Allied units/bases east of Midway and found:
United States has a Port and it's expandable (??)
Some bombers set for Naval Attack from around Denver (??)
LA Air Capacity is 10(6) - I thought it could only expand by a factor of 3, not 4
Portland Air Capacity is 7(3)
Portland BF has "Future Objective Set" at (53), but no objective named

Some of those US base numbers do look like they need a minor tweak or two. I will check them for 2.04.

In CHS, the KB does hang around, but it won't hit Pearl a second day if you're careful--I just keep the TFs at sea away from it. Usually I have the two air TFs sprint over to Wake. The other things I do are send a bunch of cruisers to Rabaul to preserve it, pull the surface forces out of Singapore, extract the various base units in southern Burma, and figure out some way of holding Sabang as a cork in the bottle of the Malacca Straits. I try to force the Japanese to use the KB to make progress, figuring that I can grind it down over time.

The G4M2 got moved down a slot.
It belongs one slot up.

Nothing wrong with the B-25 placement since the B-26G was dropped for version 2.

I just started organizing my cargo transports at the start of the game and noticed that all of the bases attatched to the India Command have the shortcut button to their main port set to Auckland. Since Aden is the main supply port in the vicinity wouldn't it make it easier to change this?

That button depends on the nationality of the ships in the TF.
Not necessarily on where the TF is formed.

CHS changed the command slots around to make India Command a restricted command. I believe CHS used the New Zealand Command slot in order to do so. Thus all the return to main base buttons wind up as defaulting to Aukland because the buttons are tied to the slot and not where the command actually is.
