A sad day, cant say i was a massive fan of his solo stuff, but Piper at the Gates of dawn is a great album because of him, and any member of Pink Floyd has my respect.

He was a 'little' off The Wall

but Piper was a great album, too bad Syd took one acid trip to many........makes me want to look thru my old album stash and long for the days of headphones and my old direct drive Sony turntable (even though I doubt there are any of them in playable condition)
