Sadly, I have no cable or satellite (or even broadcast TV) out here on the rez (my choice... I could get Satellite). Stargate was one of the few series that I did try and follow back in the outside world though. I actually may start getting the DVD's on my Netflix subscription though.

So, what is the new plotline? What changes have been made for season 10? Tell me more!

We've only just started series 9 here in Oz.....
And to make it worse their not even running Atlantis at the same time!

I'm outraged- and my wife is sick of hearing about it!

My wife and I just started watching this series several months ago. I am in Blockbusters monthly mail rental program and have just about gotten through the third season. Good show so far. So, 3 down and 6 more seasons to go to be caught up!

According to my wife the whole series is based on Major carter getting kidnapped or held hostage, I've tried to explain some other stuff happens in the series- but then everytime we sit down together to watch an episode she's kidnapped again!

I love the series, likely my fav of all time. But I watch tv when I feel like it, not when I am told to. Thus, I'll just wait a week and download the shows as they come available.

My wife and I watch Stargate SG-1 and SG Atlantis religiously (picked it up starting a few years ago). We also watch BSG when it runs.

Both SG1 and SGA started this new season with amazing battles in space, with capital ships and everything. Some awesome action to start us off! SG1 does a great job of casting the battle against the Ori in rough parallel to the real world battle against religious fundamentalism and I'm interested to see if the creative team behind it has any answers as to how to fight them. :)

Life is good, and the internet is soooooo convenient.

I now have both SG1 S1 01 and Atlantis S3 01. I can re watch both shows as much as I want now :)

And on the night of opening too. God I love the internet.

I don't think it even airs in my local area right now.

That sounds good. I think I will start building my DVD collection of the series via NetFlix.

What I want to know, and I risk getting really flammed for this, is what does the religious community think of the series.

Let's face it, the Ori are all that is negative about just about everything relgious. It kinda rubs in the face of anyone of that pro religion mind set.

Sorry I was a little late in getting back here...... everyone seem to have got to you first. I seen every show from season 1-9 and I am still enjoying it. Friday nights in my house with my two sons are SG-1, SG-A and then BSG. Mark Walker and I email each other on Fridays just to remind each other. Need I say I love TIVO.

I do not think pro religion people should mind it. To me it show are really knocking the phoney relgious people. The ones that are truly following their faith can understand how some people feel this way. The one thing the Bible is very clear about is that you have free will and you can not be forced. I know that its not always handle that way.

So back to the show... I really do not feel any relgious person should be upset its a great series to watch and enjoy with the family.

I like, that I can enjoy my SG1, and then look down on the Star Wars and Star Trek fanatics, and be of the opinion, when YOUR favourite has a mega successful series that is 10 seasons long, with a spin off that is also apparently unable to slow down, we'll talk about being as good :)

It always wows me, when I try to think of just how long this show has been around.
