"just recalled another movie, Deliverance... nice way to spend the weekend, eh?"

Hey, now... that used to be my favorite summer backpacking (!) area... the West Fork of the Chatooga River has some great swimming holes.

If you ever spent a summer in Georgia (USA), you would understand. Any hike that makes you wade up a river (crossing it seven times in four miles) will keep you a lot cooler than hiking along some ridgetop trail. Besides, it was so remote that you and the GF (BF, whatever...

) could leave the swimsuits at home... One of the swimming holes has a fifteen foot high rock diving platform and a lot of little holes in the rocks in which the crawfish collect (nice eating!).
