Hi all,

please excuse me if this has already been asked, but a search did not find any info.

I have BTR and BOB.. both great fun, if very time intensive, cumbersome and sometimes a tad tedious to play..

what is going to be different in this matrix version ? is there perhaps some where i may be able to check out the expected changes.

ie a new missionm planner for BoB would be great and a better/faster air intercept reporting procedure would be great so i didnt have to watch every single photo recon mission intercept report < the old SGE game "their finest hour' did this very much better on my C64 than BTR does.>

this is a HARD post to reply to

what is going to be new

well, so much has changed, it is HARD to tell what is new and what is old, but changed

tons of bugs were found and fixed, new features were added, stuff like recon, now instead of the plane going to one site and taking a pic and returning home, it will take pics of a number of sites on it's return, so you may get 4 or 5 recon pic's during each flight

new planes, new stats, new unit pages and reports (based on the old)

planes are now rated for low, med and High Alt, only you will not really be able to see it, just if you know that the P-40 was poor above 15000 ft, expect it to be a dog above 15000 ft (which the P-40 can be interesting, as you got Allison Engined models and Merlin Engined models, one is going to be better then the other higher up, but neither is going to be worth much if you go to 20000)

(A-36, Mustang I, Mustang IA, P-40, P-39 all are low to med alt fighters)(P-38, FW 190 both are more Med to low level planes, once they hit 20000 they start to suffer)(early P-47s, shine up high, but are sluggish down low)(P-51 is good all around, but best at high Alt)

(overall, bombers stink at low alt, and at high alt, they fly and drop bombs, they are not going to dance anywhere)

the UI (GUI ?) has been changed, the map scale has been changed, we got new art, and are getting more

we were hopeing to either add in other layers of message levels or to be able to pick and chose what we would get in the messages, but this may have to wait until later

the way point system is sweet, we got a new fuel system and other things I have not told anybody about

looks for a post called updates or something like that, it should have some more of what is going on there

Woohoo! Entering all those recon missions in BTR was painful.

I'd like to see a difficulty setting in the game. i.e. reducing the amount of planes etc. or decreasing effectiveness?
..and I hate recon planning too.
