By the way, the strafing attck through the remainder of the Allied replay out of sink. It was a real surprise to see the actual Jap replay report and discover that Yamashiro took a torp. I raised the altitude of the aircraft to 1000 ft next turn and the game is back in sync.

I just ordered two copies of this game from Decision Games. One is to play and the other is to keep unpunched. I have 2 copies of the SPI version of this game.

War in the Pacific board game.

You've got too much money...

It is not that I have to much money, it is just my hobby. I have been board war gaming since I was 13. I am not sure how many games I have at the moment. I just enjoy playing them.

I have a lot less money now after this purchase.

I know!!! Hobbies are hobbies though. I can't remember how many board games I bought since Junior High but it is close to 100. Sad thing is, I've maybe played 10% of them once or twice, the rest never seeing any use because of the scarcity of like minded hobbyists.

Here is the report from the totally whacked surface battle. This hodge podge design failure needs to be one of the big revamps we should push for.

And here is my rant I attached to the following turn to Bill! I rant alot over this darn game. I still find it amazing that with so many obvious major issues this game remains my favourite, as is the case with so many of us. Guess in lieu of water we are desperate enough to drink sand.

quote:

Rant mode on.

Well, I really got shafted by Gary Grigsby that turn. Nothing in this game works for s--t. That Cruiser TF that got wiped out was 250 miles away with orders to follow the POW TF away from Kendari. Of course, this requires one to set the TF to Patrol and follow a TF with react set to zero which it was. You watched what happened, the poorly designed naval unit interface screwed me. This game is frustrating beyond belief. On top of this, the TF is getting killed, it fights another round despite having a speed advantage, in complete contrast to the other battle when one would expect another round of combat but it withdraws. I don't mind losing battles but I hate it when the game is the culprit.

Rant mode off.

Bill is a much more dangerous opponent as Japan in this game. Our other game represents his first attempt playing Japan and he has obviously learned alot since we started that game. The only mistake he made in this game was allowing his weakly defended Kendari invasion TF to be caught by the RN mid ocean, but fortune often favours the bold, not that my sending SC TFs into the teeth of mini KB was not bold as well.

This AAR is now caught up to the action. Progress has been slow in this game lately due to vital renovations being made to Imperial Headquarters.

All caught up...now we just need some renewed action and more loose lips from the Japanese.

Okay, Action will resume when I am caught back up with other games. I owe Pedro, Jack, a turn then Don 2 turns.

As far a loose lips be very very quite we are hunting near the Solomons. huhuhuhuhuhuhuh
