I think that last one was a copy of Hiyru's fighters. I will have to get Kaga when you resend the turn. He is a look at the Top Pilots

Considering we have played almost three months the kills seem way down from our other game at the same point. What do you think of the A2A so far? Anybody else? I know some of you think I may have dropped the experience too far but if we leave the "Get Pilot" button alone the pilot replacements are much better than the raw recruits we have seen.

Here is a comparison between our old and new games as of Feb 1 42...

The Allies show approx 50,000 more sorties between old and new yet the A2A losses are substantially smaller. Same thing for Japan but not as dramatic a drop. Lots of variables though so I'm not sure anything has improved but it looks promising.

Anyone ever listen to this Live 365 station? Great while doing turns or AARs.

Maybe Bill can remind me which unit was destroyed...it was one of his small Naval Guard units. FYI, the reason this unit was destroyed is due to the fact that Bill advanced too far too fast, leaving his flank open and I moved the Dutch Mobile Einhiede armoured unit north and cut off his source of supply/retreat path.

It was a bad day yesterday. My daugther and I came within a foot of our lives. While waiting at the bus stop a car came through our yard almost hitting us and kept going. Things are a little out of wack at the moment.

Whoa! Get the bastards' number? One of the draw backs to having a house in the country on a rural highway is the speed and volume of traffic. We used to live off the highway in a small town when I was about 10 and I was amazed at how effective the six 100 year old elm trees lining our frontage were at snagging cars. The only thing that ever damaged the house was actually my dad, he got ripped at a friends place and drove the fork lift attachment on the front end of the Massey Ferguson into the front hall.

Update!

I talked to the Sheriff that took the report last night. So far they have done nothing even though they know the owner of the vehicle and where they live. The only way they can do anything is if the person admits to it since they did not witness it.

You witnessed it, as did your daughter. What horse sh-t. Sounds like Daddy might just go for a "walk" soon.

That is because Communications have been disrupted between the major allied commands.

Unfortinately both games have been shanked thanks to bullshit combat models. Alot of time has been wasted . Oh well, not like we did not try... Explanations with fact upon request.

So, it's all because that ADM Halsey has lost his flagship? :P

But isn't Adm Halsey fighting for the Japanese in this one?

I am the Japanese in both of our games. There have been bugs that have frustrated both of us in this game.

This carrier battle happened near Fiji as I was going in with an invasion TF. It is April 42 when this battle took place. The American carriers were not within range to strike the Japanese carriers. At max range Nagumo sent out his aircraft and hit the Enterprise and Yorktown.

I wish Ron would reconsider his decision to halt both games. I will be more than happy to continue these games or start a new one. To bad we do not live closer to each other that way we could play board games like War in the Pacific from Decision Games (old SPI game).

Is the issue that the Allies didn't launch a strike or that 44 bomb hits on the Big E seems to be a bit much?

The "Death Star" KB is nothing new.......

There were all but 3 Japanese carriers present in the 4 TFs that were involved in the battle.

This is TF1's composition. There is one other air combat TF, one bombardment TF, and one troop transport TF in this hex.

Situation the day of the battle. May 01, 1942. Sorry to give the wrong date earlier.
