In my PBEM against Bahnsteig i am playing allies. Since 1.804 i am experiencing replay bug every turn (its app. 7 turns in row now)

We are playing Nik 8.0b Grand campaign (no CHS), started under 1.802. We both upgraded to 1.804. I even reinstalled witp but it didnt solve problem.

I cant find any reason why it happens, but its frustrating that it isnt worth watch replay and the only info is combat report sent by opponent.

Any advice?

thanks

It is bug, nothing you can do. Strafing was said to be causing this, but I have seen it happening without strafing. IMHO this totally ruins the experience as Allies...

I've never understood why they just don't send the actual Japanese Replay instead of frigging around with the current method.

You can still ask opponent to record combat replay on camera and save you the movie ...that will kill the bug for sure

I'm in and out of synch in all my games.  Just something you get used to - I've gotten expert at reading the combat report, operations report and allied sigint.

Some people overwrite their pwhex.dat with opponent's one and it helps them...some mods alter pwhex.dat info and even if the size is same, content is different...

What is your CRC of pwhex.dat ?

Can some from MG or 2by3 post what is correct checksum for original non altered pwhex.dat version 1.804 ?

My file's CRC is 7CDCB984

This bug started in a PBEM game I'm playing three turns ago. We haven't upgraded to 1.804 yet (still at 1.801 I think), but the other details are the same.

We have both checked our settings and there's nothing either of us did to cause this. We've played over 200 turns without a problem. It is bizarre that this would suddenly develop out of the blue.

Checking the combat reports doesn't reveal what ground units are involved in a battle like the reports do during the normal replay, so that isn't a viable workaround IMO.

Both players should always play a game with the same pwhex.dat file, otherwise there could be problems with the game, such as naval TFs getting "stranded" or TFs unable to load troops, and so on...
