I have only played PBEMs with my old Imperial Japanese Nemesis kbad, so I cannot rate other players...but -
I will tell you one thing about playing against kbad, if you have learned the game by playing against the AI - everything you have learned is no longer valid.
He is very methodical and NEVER leaves himself open to convoys being picked off, over stretching his deployments out of mutual support range, getting impatient for action and forcing something foolish out of boredom. In short, he combines an excellent balance of aggression and caution.
On top of which, he plays a very good historical style game - no gaminess.

I have BTR loaded up, but have not relly messed with it since my return from Iraq other than some German vs AI to keep in the groove for the new release.

Work, wife and kids do not leave alot of time. 3-4 PBEM is all I can handle at 1 turn per day on average.

I know. I know dumbass.

I don't break promises. I'm looking forward to our first game.

This must be the longest ever advance booking for a game that is nowhere near being released yet

Except for any poor souls who booked a game of EIA back when it was announced.

Yeah like me. I got to know about Matrix somewhere around 2001-2002 looking for the computerized EiA.

OK, I'll bite, what is BoB/BtR?
I was afraid to ask because I figure the answer will cost me money.

BOB is the battle of Britian day for day.............very detailed.

BTR is the air war over Europe in WW2 fought from 1943 to 1945 day by day. It is great.

Hi Pauk,

Just so i'm clear. You're asking if the Matrix versions are to be separate games? Yes and no. They are separate games in the sense BoB covers the 1940 and 1941 Hypothetical Campaign against Great Britain. BtR covers the bombing of the Third Reich by the Allies in various scenarios/campaigns ranging from 1943 to 1945.

They are very detailed games with quite a bit of the WiTP engine beginning it's life in BoB/BtR

The no part to my answer is that they will be sold as 1 package. So you will have two games in one

There are a LOT of improvements/changes/bug squashes. We're entering a more invigorated Beta phase now and what with NDA I don't think I can disclose a lot of stuff.

I will say this though - expect a better interface, more plane types, more realistic plane attributes, a more complete database of targets, better recon model, better functionality of planes etc. Wish I could say more but I think you will be impressed with the end result.

Stay tuned
