Hi,

I wanted to know if this is the Civil War game coming from 2 by 3 games that is based on a modified
World at War engine, or something entirely different.

Reading various posts, it seems it is something different, yet they sound nearly identical

Thanks,

Rocco

This is a modified Crown of Glory Engine I believe.

The games are completely different, but both will be brought to you by Matrix.

Personally, I think that Matrix should set up a promotion: "Buy Forge of Freedom, get the 2 x 3 game free!" I think that's called "synergy" or something.

What would you call it if it were "Buy the 2X3 game and get FoF for free.?!

I see, thanks for the information.

It looks like you guys will be first out the gate then, since there's no news on the Grigsby version since July or something.  All
the while I thought this had to be the 2 by 3 version but kept hearing references to Cog (which I had no idea what that was until
TwoTribes spelled it out), so I thought something seemed strange.

I guess I'll try both of them, there aren't many civil war games around.  Good luck to both groups.

Rocco

Seniority.

But seriously, the two games are quite different, as anyone who knows the 2 x 3 games is well aware, and I'm sure that people who enjoy Civil War games will want to consider the 2 x 3 ACW game as well. (Note to Matrix: I'm just having fun here. Please don't take away my moderator powers...)
