Upon further review, I'm stuck with Moffitt and his superhero END of 1 for one more season. In real MLB, he was granted free agency, so he will stay with Houston. John D'Acquisto has "retired" following his Cy Young season. It looks as though this assn will be put into the deep freeze for awhile. There are odd issues with pitcher recovery. I'm now using 1.60 and starting pitchers are making too many relief appearances. I guess this falls into the category of "be careful what you ask for", since reliever appearances are down. I just can't, in good faith, continue an assn where starting pitchers are making relief appearances the day before their scheduled starts. Now, it's on to a 2006 Atlanta Braves replay. I will manage the Braves and see if I can take them to the postseason and lose, just like Bobby Cox did from 1991-1993, and 1996-2005. Although it may be a logistical nightmare, I plan to start every team with their ACTUAL opening-day rosters, then make roster moves for each team just as they happened in real MLB. I will choose "no injuries" and "no AI trades" so I can keep the day-to-day rosters accurate. I will just "demote" a player when they go on the DL in real-life, then "promote" them when they return to the roster. It will take a lot of effort to set this up, but should be fairly smooth once I get all of the roster moves into a calendar-type format. As for this NL No Free Agency Assn, I'll probably play it out until the All-Star break, then put it into hibernation until the next major PS release or patch addressing the pitcher recovery issue.
