I guess what I'm really interested in is an even greater undertaking than recreating the current NFL set of rosters. In response to what garysorrell said, I agree to a certain extent. What I'd really love to see is some of my favorite classic teams of the past, the '92 and '77 Cowboys, '98 Vikings, '89 and '98 49ers, etc. But I understand that making the current 32 teams is tough enough. However, if someone were to devise a utility to make it easier to create large scale projects from scratch, or even post a current 2007 version of a franchise, it would make a nice jumping off point towards creating the same franchise from previous years. Again, we could split the load and help each other out by making our own "favorite" teams. Obviously, I wouldn't mind making the teams I've mentioned, and some others. The biggest obstacle is the time factor. It would be great to have some sort of global player editor. Perhaps someone else's suggestion of just making the "star" player's ratings, and leaving the role-players randomized, would be a good start. And to 21SEC - I am very interested in your ratings system. I have always been surprised through the years with games like this, whose purpose is to provide realistic football simulation, that they don't include a basic ratings system in the instructions. To me, that is obviously vital. I mean, say I want to make a receiver "really" fast. But what is considered "very fast" in this game's system of ratings? 95? 97? 99? Is 99 something that should be preserved for, say, the fastest guy to ever play? What should be my QB's strength, if I for instance want him to have roughly average range in STR? Things of that nature. What I've taken to, which again is a somewhat time-consuming process, is randomly creating a whole league of players, then sorting them by position, then by rating for each category (str, speed, agi, so on). This at least gives u a basic range from which to determine what your max, min, and mean should be, approximately. 21SEC, if you have something better, or even something similar(I've yet to finish that project), by all means, SHARE. Thanks in advance.
