David,

I created my first team using the Utility option available on the Game Start Menu. When I reached the Graphics section in the lower right quadrant of the screen, the only option available was to select Helmut Color? The team colors were "default-selected" apparently to Red-White and I saw no option to change them.

Comments please?

Thanks,

Art

Hi.

There are no options to change the default uniform colours in game. The way you create new uniforms is editing the uniform bitmap files via a painting program. You can probably get a way using Microsoft Paint (which is comes with Windows), but most people use something a little more advanced like Paint Shop Pro, or even photo shop.

The only colour you can change on your team edit page is that of the facemask. And that's because that data needs to be stored in the team database and couldn't be part of the default uniform files.

Thanks
David

Also you can either use 1 of a couple hundred teams that have been created at FBMAX.COM . Theres nfl, cfl, arena football , college , japan football league and lots of fictional teams .Also look in the unsorted area on the page . There all zipped up so you`ll need to extract them , with a zip opener . If your making a league , in the league file ,for maxium game on hard drive , you`ll see your team name in that file . You`ll need to put a home away files in team file then copy all parts uniform into file . Hope i`m clear about that feel free to ask more about it .

ArtD, I made 2 fictional packs. Total 32 teams between them. They are both on the unsorted page of fbmax.com And there are a ton by other guys like redwolf, nmleague, donmvp etc.

There is also a file under the utilities section, Uniform / Field Design help & tools,
and its called 'Basic Uniform Pack'
It has all the uniform parts in various colors....no logos or anything, just plain colors.

I have all of the default uniforms blanked out (removed the logos) in one folder.  I just copy and paste the home and away folders into the team folders.  It is very simple.

Perhaps the blanked files can be released with a updated build.  As they are versions of the games originals, I didn't upload them to FBMax for copyright reasons.

Having the ability to select uniform color is a wishlist item.  I hope to see it as a future feature.

If you our talking about the actual team files there all zipped at fbmax if you click on like nfl uniforms you`ll see all teams just choose and click on that name . then they should ask how you want to open . I have a copy of win zip that extracts the zip file opens it so you can work with it . I think any kind of zip extractor will work . Might do a search , i think win zip has a free trail version still . I think theres an other called RAR , not sure that you can download . After you get file open should see away , home uniforms plus sometimes field art work. If you made a league that your going to put the team in . Look for that team name , and copy all files over . One way i fine you can do it , is on the team file from fbmax after you open it put cursor over the visitor uniform then hit ctrl and c keys on keyboard , it should look like the curser fludders a bit . Now i open the league file on your hard drive ,lets say your making colts find that team there . Click on the file when it opens if you see visitor or home , you move cursor to that corresponding file so lets say visitor . Put cursor on it now you use ctrl and v keys on board same time it should flutter and you`ll see message that theres already a team file and ask if you want to replace click yes and it should put colt visitor in visitor file . Now for the field graphics , you do same thing with keyboard and when you get to team file in your league just transfer it to home team . It should show a fild that has L1 ,or L2 and so on . Youll end up having a file for each graphic . I hope this helps and is easy to follow . If you have any probs feel free to pm me .I`m on here a lot and check it a lot so i should be able to answer back quick .
