Hi,

In a CV TF which ships are most distracting to incoming air attacks ?

BB

CA

CS

ETC

You would have thought a BB would be avoided due to its high AA value but I would welcome comments .

From what we've seen so far in the AAR, BBs are the best bomb-magnet out there, apart from the CVs (and that's historical, particularly when Japanese planes were striking - just check the history of the SoDak, both at Santa Cruz and in the Marianas). But in a CV TF, CV will be undoubtedly always attacked much more than any other ship.

i would imagine large capital ships, CVs, then BBs then CAs and such

iom not sure tho i pay no atterntion to the manual

but in CV vs CV it def goes against CVs and BBs then other ships

but seem to prioritze CVs

I see BB's attacked often. I've even seen a BB tf in the same hex as mini KB get attacked instead of the CV's.

Typically the most valuable ships will be targetted. This would be, in order, CVs, BBs, CAs, CS, CLs, DDs... If a large number of aircraft are involved, not all of them will attack the carriers though the majority will concentrate on heavy cruisers and larger ships.

My most recent attack against the baby KB included bombs dropped against the Nagato (all missed).
