I dont think BR20s had range for a Gibraltar attack. From what i have read only Piaggio 108 and  S 82 Cangurus were able to achive that from Italian/Sardinia bases. There was an attack in 1943 against Gibraltar by S 79 w/ torpedos but that was made from French Provence.

Dili, i've attacked Gibraltar from the Sardinia. As for "clever move" , Englander is too dumb to realise that was armed recon - i just figured where he moved CVs. Obviously he is so scaried that he withdrew his CVs back to Gibraltar (which is undertandable because he is well aware of my exceptional skills)

... and all damaged Wellies make it.... hey Nik, how about some Allied ops losses?

well I can't make more or less op losses but you may be heartened to know that i'm currently working on the next NM update which will probably see bombers become a tad less tough to down along with a couple other goodies.

well then, hopefully the changes won't break it.

I'm probably going to leave 9.0 as an alternate option for the 43 and 44 campaign games due to the greater air lethality present. This version really tones those losses down.

Hi all,

An interesting turn. Roommel's vanguard appears 60 miles SW of Gazala. The enemy battleline fled to the SW tip of Crete. As you'll see it was subjected to several attacks from Tobruk all the way to Cyprus. One BB took a torpedo but no serious damage reported. Let's see how big Pauk cajones are. If he stays on station we'll be having a little surface action tomorrow...........

Apparently the second game is going better than the first for the Allies. But both of them seem to have slowed down considerably -- are you still working on Fremen's latest changes?

Hi Capt. We're still on the same versions. RL for both of us mean time is limited for these games unfortunately.

Hi all,

A good day for the Allies! Von Pak has clearly become over-confident of his ability as his forces in North Africa are widely distributed. As such the 2 Armoured units at Gazala were dealt a severe smashing today and were pushed back to Derna.

Allied SS Tempest and Malta air combine 2 sink 2 freighters to rhe east of Malta.

A sneaky PT attack on Tripoli leads to a further freighter being sunk.

It looks to me as though the Allies lost more at Derna than they gained at Gazala. But perhaps the men at Derna were sacrificial lambs? Anyway, Pauk can't complain that he can't take any more bases.

Nice move with the PT's, BTW.
